- Click on the Start button and click on all programs, then accessories and then system tools and click on the Windows Easy Transfer
- The windows Easy Transfer wizard will open
- Click on the External hard disk or USB flash drive where you had stored the backup and click on This is my new computer
- Click yes and open the file. Browse the location where the Easy Transfer files are saved
- Click on the File name and the click on open
- Click on the Transfer to transfer all the files and settings. You can also migrate by selecting only the user profiles you want to transfer or by clicking customize
- Click on close after successful transfer of files and settings
Now you have completed the Windows XP to Windows 7 Upgrade. Now you can use a tool named Disk Cleanup to remove all the unwanted old files and free disk space.
